Good Health ?

This topic is very broad, people often struggle with health issues. To avoid many issues people must change their food, exercises and pretty much their lifestyle.

Good diet an active exercise routine, a balance diet, all of these can contribute to improving someone´s health.

So many advise is that if you want to have good health for many years, you must include fruits, vegetables, grains, fiber and proteins in your diet. Also be active !! Walk for at least 30 minutes a day , you can have your body working and healthy.

TRAVEL

This is one of my favorite topics because I love to travel. I had the opportunity to travel at least four or five times. I have visited places like Minnesota, Miami, Orlando, Wisconsin and Chicago.

Traveling provides a perfect opportunity to get to know other cultures and learn more about different lifestyles. Also, sometimes when traveling abroad, you get to appreciate more your country and the beautiful places we have here in Costa Rica.

I have to be honest, I obviously  love a country like United States because it is new for me; there are different malls, clubs, very big parks, etc and  I´ve never seen something similar; it could be because there are more options for entertainment at any time, can be night time or during the day.

Nowadays, I have a personal project which is that I would like to travel Europe and I know I have to sacrifice some other trips to the beach and to stop buy clothes in Multiplaza if really I want to get there. I need to cut down on my expenses so I can save money for this personal project.

With my God, I am sure I will do it. If it is in my Father´s will, I know I will make it.

Money should not be a problem when it comes to have the opportunity to visit other countries. There are different programs like the exchange program called Au Pair (my sister went to the US with this program, it is pretty much going to school and work as a nanny with a host family, they cover room and board and a semester in school). Also, some travel agencies can be help you find a program to go work or study outside Costa Rica. You just need to find the program that fits you best.

Traveling abroad is better to do it when on vacation and not when looking for a job or having to go on business trips from work. I believe this is the best option but you have to keep in mind that all your debts and obligations must be paid off before spending money in a vacation.

LANGUAGE

Language is used to communicate. There are hundreds of languages around the world. Most people in our country only speak one language. This language is Spanish which called our native language or mother tongue.   Some others speak English very well because they have been immersed in this language since kindergarten.

I personally believe that, in today’s world, a person must know more than one language to be able to compete not only at school, but also when looking for a better position at work.

To learn a second language, it is better to start when you are very young. It is proven that for adults it is more difficult to learn a second language than for kids. Kids´ brains are like a sponge during their first years, so it is important to motivate the brain while still is in development.

It is not necessary to be linguist to appreciate and learn a new language. Anyone who wants to grow and succeed can learn a new language.

Dear Professor

I would like to start talking about Ms.Silvia Castro; she is terrific speaker for me, the best example to be a different professional and to get everything you want. She made me to think about my future, what is exactly I want for my life, to be a different professional!!

Well, about the theory “The Brain that leams”, always is important to listen recommendations, how you can improve yours techniques of study.

Nowadays is not enough “to know” to survive. Nowadays the definition of being educated is to be competent, and competence is the summary of knowledge skills and attitudes to perform an activity.

The trick is to relate somehow what we are learning, that way the learning process will be easier. Now I remember strategies to learn better by Ms.Castro : Read, Read, Read =  to learn  better.

DELICIOUS FOOD

Food is one the great pleasures of life, very simple it´s delicious, it´s necessary, and it´s a complement of our life. In my case, I love Italian food, after Hindu food, Mexican food, and sea food. This is the order of my favorite food.

I have to be careful because I have delicate digestion and some food can be heavy and can provoke me an upset stomach.

Definitely food is like an art, because you can do a lot of variations if you know the perfect combination of the ingredients.

I have to confess that I am not a great cook, because I don’t have time to cook, but really I would like to know different kinds of dishes and surprise my love ones someday. But for now I don’t have many options, if I want to eat different and exotic dishes I have to pay or ask my sister who happen to be a great cook to cook them for me.

I hope  that in a couple months I will have more time to  practice  in the kitchen or well, if I  really need it, to cook someday will have to do it, but  now I am single and it is not a obligation for me to cook.

Video Games!!

Video games could be a great hobby, but I have to say that we should be careful because any type of excess can be dangerous.

Some video games are healthy games like: famous Mario bros, Prince of Persia, but some are violent, and this factor can be destructive for our children.

Today, there are so many ways to have a good time. Video games can be one form while having adult supervision.

In my personal experience, I can say I enjoyed a lot this entertainment for three years and I was an expert. But the most important thing to me is that I found another way to be so close with my friends and sisters  and to share good moments.

Now, we have to see terrible videos that disturb the minds and behavior of the people because it doesn't matter the age, you could be  a kid or  an adult.

We have to be careful.

ETIQUETTE

In my opinion ,I have to say is very important to know the basic rules of how you have to be in the society.

Etiquette is a code that covers the expectations of social behavior, of course this depends on the conventional norms from each zone or country.

It is represented via the rules and good behavior and corrects manners

Some examples are:

v  Say “hi “good morning” to your friends, family, coworkers.

v   Be hospitable with your guest

v   Wear appropriate clothing depending the place where you are.

       Be punctual in your commitments

We are not alone; we have to respect all people in all the areas, staring at home, in the office and everywhere. Rules like the right way to eat, to walk, to talk, until to see the others persons.

If we know the basic, will have more opportunities to grow up in our job´s,and in our personal life.

Is important to know not necessarily the etiquette in my country is the same in other country or continent, we are different and there are so many cultures to practice different Cain to live. Just have to know what exactly is acceptable in the place we are; to learn and to respect.

MONEY

Money is necessary but not to live happy; it is true is necessary to buy thing s, food, clothes, everything you need like personal things, a house or a car. But we should not confuse ourselves and see money like the only thing you need to be happy,. As long as we have our five senses, great heath, money comes second.

For some, it is the most important thing, but people who think like that are never really happy, because thinking that money can buy everything is wrong.

Yes, is nice to have money, sometimes you can get your goals and your dreams, but if you really want something just need to wish that from the deepest of your heart, and the world or destiny will work to it give you.  I Insist, we really have to wish that.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Costa Rica, I dear to say, has a good justice system, I think it has a lot of laws but the problem for me isn´t the laws , the problem is the people who operate the system. Yes, there are few people who would do wrong things at their jobs but it is not everybody.

If you don't know how the laws work, it is impossible to have good criminal justice.

The crime will not disappear but we can work towards an enhancement in security and the application the laws. You really need to know what the law says.

 It's very important to understand that the situation nowadays is different from the past. Nowadays kids are killers starting at a very young age (12 years old) and we don't have law to punish this situation. We have to change or adjust the criminal situation within the criminal justice hand book.

This way, our children will see that there are terrible consequences if they do something wrong in the society.

City and Country

City and Country

The place where I live is Piedades de Santa ana San Jose, twenty five minutes from downtown , it is really  a small town, because it has all the characteristics to be one , for example: it has a Little church, a Little park, a Little school, and the most important, it is friendly neighborhood.

Santa Ana is a very developed city, but the districts on the outskirts are little towns.

We are approximately five hundred families, it is a little place but this place has everything you need nearby for example: there are banks, malls, restaurants, pharmacies, a hospital, and entertainment places as close as just seven minutes.

I prefer to live in a quiet place, a bigger house, with a backyard, neighbors not so close from me, just the basics. But having every store near makes me like the city, especially at night but not always, maybe one day per month. I could also contemplate to live in the city but I would need a house or a place where to escape from the stress of the city, like in the beach or a mountain, with rivers, animals, woods and tranquility.

Finally wherever the place I live I have to be my family fell them close to me. With my family no matter the place, any place will be the perfect place to grow up in and live.

My Current Job !!

My current job,

When I mentioned last week that my job is sometimes stressing, is because I have at less 5 meetings a day, I have to explain to my costumers about the marketing investments, interest in their funds, and the changes in our marketing.

The good thing is the schedule. I’m the owner to my own schedule, but when I said is stressing is because I have to resolve every problem my customers may have in few minutes, because they are VIP customers for my company.

They are very demanding people and the quality about the service I provide has to be the best.

I can say that the pay is good, the coworkers are good and the environment is nice. This is the reason why I have been working there for seven years,  and I wish to be for too many years but like a lawyer from the bank.
